Lawrence (Larry) Blundred is a retired financial advisor. Prior to that, he served as marketing/sales director for Skyline Chili and JTM Food Group. He resides in Cincinnati, OH. Larry is the author of three children's books, (1) How Pickleball Saved Ollie Otter, (2) Ollie and His Friends Return Home and his most recent release, and (3) Ollie Visits Where It All Started (Bainbridge Island, WA).
He and his former wife, Donna, who died of a brain tumor, previously co-authored two inspirational books, Rise Above: Survivor or Thriver? and Staying Resilient When Life Throws You More Than A Curveball. Larry and his new wife, Margo, traveled to Bainbridge Island in the fall of 2022 to personally gain background for the third book, releasing it at the Fourth Annual Founders Pickleball Tournament in August 2023 at Bainbridge Island. Larry and his illustrator, Milt Priggee, played football (one year!) at York High School (Elmhurst, IL) and reconnected in 2022 at their high school reunion. Milt is an international award-winning editorial cartoonist who started his career with the Chicago Daily News and was awarded a Journalism Fellowship to the University of Michigan in 2001. |

Milt Priggee was born July 6, 1953 in Anchorage, Alaska, but grew up in the Chicago area. He graduated from Adams State College at Alamosa, Colorado in 1976 with a major in fine arts. After college Priggee met his mentor, John Fischetti, in Chicago. Fischetti helped Priggee start freelancing. His work appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and The Chicago Daily News. Currently, he is nationally syndicated with CagleCartoons from his base in Oak Harbor, WA, where he continues to produce cartoons on local, national and world topics.
